The Mehta Group was founded by great visionary and foresighted Late. Sri. R. M. Mehta way back in 1978 in a small town Sivakasi south of India

Sivakasi was a buzzing town then with main interests in the Fireworks, Matches and Printing Industries. Sri. R. M. Mehta saw a future in a different line and established what the first wax refinery in Tamil Nadu was.

Business soon grew and really picked up when next generation Industrialist, businessman and current Chairman of the group Mr. Ashok Mehta entered the business after his studies Bachelor of Business Administration

Mr. Ashok Mehta soon realized that there was a huge market of wax and petroleum related products in the whole on India and found the capacity of own production insufficient and also found that the quality of the raw materials available in India was not up to international standards. With and urge to expand the business he forayed into importing high quality petroleum products in the name & style of RATANGALAXY PVT. LTD.

From various sources viz, Japan, China, Iran, Indonesia, Egypt etc and found a ready market for his imports in the whole of India
M/S Ratan Galaxy Pvt. Ltd. Was incorporated under the Indian Companies act in 1993. It is engaged in the business of imports and sale of industrial and commercial waxes & oils of AL types.

Within a spam of a decade and a half, business grew to a stupendous above US$ 5 million per year with staff strength of 20.
